Cambridge Technology has a broad range of price/performance options to address the specific needs of customer applications including industrial laser marking and material processing, high speed biomedical imaging and microscopy, engraving, drilling, display, etc. We offer both moving magnet and moving coil galvanometers, advanced optical and capacitive position detectors, a selection of servo technologies, a wide variety of scanning mirror apertures and coatings, and controllers configured as open frame systems or as individual components to address our customer’s specific needs. |
The latest in Cambridge Technology's galvanometer technology, the 6200H series combines our new Moving Magnet actuator technology and our innovative patented advanced optical position detector design. This combination offers the highest torque per watt and closed loop bandwidths, resulting in the highest positioning speed and precision accuracy in any compact, lower cost closed loop galvanometer available in today's market. The 6200 series scanning systems can be configured and optimized for speed, size, cost and accuracy with typical beam diameters in the 1 to 50 mm ranges.

The Next Generation in galvanometer DSP servo control, the DC2000 Dual-Axis Digital servo utilizes state space algorithms to provide speed far beyond that an analog PID servo. The DC2000 uses model based predictive reasoning to provide real-time optimization for all galvo motion, reducing step times and tracking delays for allowing an increase in speed of 3 to 4 times that achieved with a PID servo for laser marking applications. Other features include self tuning and calibration with no computer required, and remote access/support capability. The DC2000 is the ideal choice for laser marking and other applications where speed and precision are required.

Cambridge Technology’s EC1000 is the next generation in galvo-steered laser control systems. This compact, fully integrated dual system-on-a-chip (SoC) control system is ideal for modern factory environments with distributed automation. In this environment, a single host computer can supervise a factory of networked laser marking appliances. The EC1000 can be completely embedded into a scanning head and does not require a nearby physical host computer for operation. Remote Access, Remote Control, and Remote Monitoring are fully supported for tetherless operation. Reconfigurations or job changes are easily made either by downloading via 10/100 base-T Ethernet, temporary connection to a laptop or USB memory stick, or via the optional pendant. |
The EC1000 includes a complete library of control features for today’s lasers as well as 3-axis of direct dynamic galvanometer servo driver control without the need for intermediate interface boards such as XY/2-100. The EC1000 DLL interface to third-party or user software packages simplifies integration into existing automated scanning systems. |
